In November for Religion we took time to pray for those dear to us who have passed away. We made sure to include our pets.
We also tried out Still Life drawing this month-it took a little bit of getting used to and we were surprised at how challenging it was to include the light and shade, it is something that we will focus on more in the future.
In Maths we were learning about 2D shapes, we created some 2D shapes using cotton buds we also learned about triangles and their properties. We are continuing to do our maths games every week and our tables are coming along really well- some boys are ready to move on to the 5 and 10 times tables.
The genre that we are focusing on now is Report writing. We are off to a great start so it will be exciting to see who will win this time around! Our comprehension strategy is Visualising so we came up with some vivid stories with this. SPHE- One of the topics that we covered was caring for animals- we had a very exciting visitor; Ted the dog! He came with his owner Heather to teach us all about dog care. We learned some great facts. It was great!
We look forward to an equally exciting December and we might even have another visitor at the end of the month at assembly!!!!!
