Our school is proud to be a Vex Robotics school in association with Dell. Vex Robotics is a robot competition where pupils design and build their own robot and programme the robot to complete various tasks. Each year our pupils get to go to Dell in Limerick to take part in the Robotics competition. The Vex Robotics programme helps pupils build Maths and Science skills as part of our STEM programme in the school.

Coding

Our school has a terrific partnership with The Technological University of the Shannon (formerly Limerick Institute of Technology). Pupils in our school get the opportunity to work with Pamela O’ Brien, lecturer in TUS, on a regular basis. Pupils learn how to code using multiple languages and platforms and this compliments or STEM programme here in CBS Primary School Nenagh.

Pupils in 5th and 6th classes recently made their own video games using Make Arcade and the results were fantastic.
