- Dance
Cumann na mBunscol
Each year we take part in U11 and U13 Hurling and Gaelic football competitions as part of Cumann na mBunscol. Hurling coaching takes place throughout the year both during and after school. All boys are encouraged to get involved. During lunch times boys get to take part in regular leagues. This is in addition to the wonderful ‘active breaks’ that we partake in for being an ‘Active School’.
In Term 3 we have our Active Schools Week and Sports Day which are always terrific events. These events take place on our playing pitches and 400m running track which we share with St. Joesph’s C.B.S secondary school. We are also lucky enough to have a terrific partnership with Nenagh Athletic Club allowing us to avail of their indoor track facilities.
Soccer
Soccer plays a big part in our school also. We take part in soccer coaching throughout the year and we also enter the Futsal and FAI 5 aside competitions. Lunch time leagues are also a major part of our school year! In recent years we have been very successful in these competitions winning county and munster titles while also representing the school in the Aviva stadium.
