C.B.S. Primary welcomes girls and boys!
Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 will long go down in the history books of C.B.S. Primary School Nenagh. For the first time in the school’s 160 year history, Junior Infant girls and boys have started in the school! The school welcomes two Junior Infant classes this year, with 16 girls and 18 boys, beginning their primary education in our school.
For the first time brothers and sisters are able to attend the school together, with 9 girls from Junior Infants having brothers in higher classes up the school. There was tremendous excitement around the school on the first morning, and it was terrific to see girls and boys coming to the school together after many years of planning and preparation. It was a momentous occasion for the school, but also for the community of Nenagh, with parents now having viable co-educational options for their children in the heart of Nenagh town.
As well as welcoming Junior Infants, it was also a special day for 2nd class boys as they also joined our school for the first time.
Below are some pictures of our new Junior Infants and 2nd class on their first day, as well as pictures of siblings from up the school.
