January News
Ms Twomey’s Junior Infant class
January was a busy and enjoyable month in Ms Twomey’s class. We learned lots about toys from the past and enjoyed exploring how children played long ago. As part of our learning, we held a wonderful Teddy Bear Picnic and sang and danced the Teddy Bear Around song together.
We also had great fun taking part in hurling sessions with the TY students from St. Mary’s, which everyone really enjoyed. Another highlight of the month was drumming, where the children loved experimenting with rhythm and sound.
It was a month full of learning, laughter, and fun!

Ms Glennon’s Senior Infants
January has been a very busy month for the girls and boys in Senior infants. They learned
all about 3D shapes and then went on a 3D trail around the school which they thoroughly
enjoyed.
For Show and Tell the children brought in their favourite toy and got the opportunity to
talk about it. They also got time to play with their toys for Aistear.
In Gaeilge this month the children learned the vocabulary for Caitheamh aimssire and na
dathanna.
In SPHE the children started their Stay Safe programme and got the chance to discuss
safe and unsafe feelings.
For assembly this month Senior Infants got the opportunity to sing a song about
Grandparent’s Day and say a poem in front of the whole school. They were absolutely
amazing.
