Today, Friday the 15th of March, our school had a Lá Glas as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge. The boys wore green. They also made a donation of €2 per child to the Dariusz fund which is based in our town.
There was an assembly in our GP room today marking Seachtain na Gaeilge. Each group performed a poem and a song as gaeilge. It was clear that everyone had taken great preparation and practice for such wonderful performances. Well done lads. Bhí an cheolchoirm seo go hiontach!!!!!!
Mr Greene presented gaelgeoir na seachtaine to boys from each class.
We also acknowledged our Futsal finalists and the winning Kerry team.
Evan came second in the County Tipperary Spelling Bee tournaments held recently. Well done Evan.
Well done to all the boys who won best slogan for Active Schools in each class.
The school also held a céilí where the boys danced the Balla Luimnigh (The Walls of Limerick) and Ionsaí na hInse (The Siege of Ennis). There were some fantastic dancers and great fun was had by all.
